What are we asking?

We are asking churches and organizations to cover 1 day a month in prayer.

What does it mean to cover a day in prayer?

Covering a day in prayer simply means that there is someone always praying somewhere throughout the day.

How do we organize it?

You can create a sign up sheet for people that has 1 hour time slots. Another way is to have a prayer room that is open and there is always at least 1 person in it praying during that whole 24 hour period.

What if my church doesn't have the capacity to cover 24 hours?

Please don't let the inability to cover 24 hours stop you from being a part. We appreciate any participation whether it's 6 or 12 hours!

Smaller churches/organizations can partner together to cover a day. We are also ok with overlapping. Just let us know to what capacity you can participate and we can grow from there. We have to start somewhere, developing muscle doesn't happen overnight.

What does the monthly repetition look like?

We don't go by the date number, but by the day of the week each month. Ex. Instead of saying we will pray every 3rd day of the month, we say, we will pray every 1st Wednesday of each month. We believe this will be much more sustainable for us as a whole.

What if we miss hours?

Michiana Prays doesn't mean we never miss an hour...it means we never quit praying, we never stop pursuing unceasing prayer! We know that whatever we currently are doing is better than what we had before!

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until He completes His work, until He makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth. Isaiah 62:6+7

What are we praying for?

Community transformation, unity of the Church and revival for our region. We are the watchmen and warriors of our community. Let's make Michiana the most prayed over region. May the glory of God cover Michiana as the waters cover the seas! We are happy to provide prayer guides.

Why should my church join?

Churches coming together to do something preaches the gospel better than any one single church can! John 17:23 If we can't pray together, then there is no hope for our city. A united praying church is the ONLY solution to this divided nation.

The Lord commands a blessing where His people dwell in unity. Psalm 133 Let's live this out such that God abundantly blesses Michiana!
